The long-awaited return of the McGriddles brought a smile to many faces and an even bigger smile to one particular man.
What is A McGriddle?
The seasonal menu item was recently made available again and is available for a limited time only.
For those of you who don’t know what it is, the McGriddles is a breakfast burger from McDonald’s made up of two pancake buns that taste like maple, with a sausage patty sandwiched in between them.
The breakfast item was made available last year during the World Cup season but was later quietly removed from the menu.
It was then reintroduced for a day on 27 February this year, when only 100 sets were made available at the Springleaf Tower outlet. The following day, it was added back to the menu, because that 100 sets mentioned were…well, a troll.
The McRock
While we all know that McDonald’s produce is frozen before they’re cooked, but someone in the kitchen seemed to have forgotten to cook this burger in particular.
And unfortunately, or fortunately for Edwin Edl, he found himself with that frozen burger. Yes, frozen. The Let It Go frozen.
In a series of Facebook posts, he claimed that McDonald’s, instead of giving him a soft, sweet pancake bun, had given him a frozen McGriddles bun.
He insisted that his McGriddles came frozen, and he did not put it in the freezer or do anything to freeze it into the state that it was.
Instead of being disappointed or upset with his order gone wrong, he thanked McDonald’s for making his day.
Because he had fun playing the game, what works against McRock?
Breaking The (Mc)Rock
In a video, he attempts to drive a metal fork through the burger but to no avail.
Instead, the fork bends backwards like it would if it is involved in a magic trick.
Prior to that attempt, he had also tried using different utensils such as a plastic fork and a cleaver.
Both had failed to dent the burger. No surprise there. The only thing which could cause any sort of damage whatsoever was a screwdriver which he stabbed it with.
Too fast but not furious enough?
In another video, Edwin is in his car as he drives over the McGriddle. And strangely, or not, no damage is caused to it. The McGriddle still comes out victorious in this match of Man Vs McGriddle.
In his last challenge, Edwin decides to go big or go home, literally. He throws the burger down from the top floor of a flat. Did it survive?
The answer is yes. The burger remained strong as ever and still survived in one piece.
Sticks and stones will not break this burger, words will definitely not either. Don’t we all wish we could be as strong as it is?
Moral of the story, a McGriddle is not just a delicious breakfast menu item from Mcdonald’s, but it can also be used as a McWeapon for self-defence.
I’m kidding, but not really. If you threw that at someone, that person would be left with a huge bruise for weeks or maybe even a broken bone. Who knows.
