Man Fired for Poor Attitude & Went on to Hack Boss with Chopper

At some point in our life, most of us would have worked under a boss.

Regardless of whether they are good or bad, it is our duty to do our job well because the bills aren’t going to pay itself right?

And by the way, if you haven’t heard, we’ve compiled a list of 10 characteristics of bosses we absolutely detest.

Check it out below and let us know if you can #relate because I sure as hell can.

As much as I would love to write an entire article on how much I low-key loathe my boss (no telling if it’s the past or present…but it’s the present one lah, i.e. the fat one in Goody Feed), I would never have the guts to physically harm any of them.

But one Mr Yee Jing Man did just that.

Man murdered his boss

On 11 March 2019, Yee was suspected of murdering one of his bosses, Mr Lin Xinjie, at Jiji Singapore which is an online retail company as reported by The New Paper. Mr Lin was reportedly pronouced dead at 1pm on the same day.

Reports have shown that the suspect, 23 year old Yee Jing Man was a Malaysian worker who had been sacked after being on the radar for his poor work behavior, which had negatively affected the business.

It was stated that witnesses saw Yee looking distressed as he left the office compound.

Unable to accept news of his dismissal, Yee’s resentment towards his boss got the better of him and eventually, he returned to the office and whipped out a chopper from his bag to slash Lin’s neck.

Afterwhich, The New Paper stated that “Yee allegedly turned the chopper on himself” and had “reportedly sustained deep wounds on his chest and left wrist”.

According to The Straits Times, the attack happened during lunch time and in an interview with the victim’s father, he said, “My son and his business partner usually have lunch late, so they were still in the office.”

As Mr Li Mingqiao was the said business partner at the scene, he attempted to break the fight but suffered injuries.

Both Mr Li and Yee were sent to the intensive care unit in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital

Jiji Singapore’s CEO: Mr Lin Xinjie

The victim, Lin Xinjie was a long-time entrepreneur since 2011 and Jiji Singapore was said to be his eighth firm. According to Alvinology, Mr Lin’s father testified that Lin was very career-driven and at the same time, was one that loved his family deeply.

The New Paper also uncovered through an interview with Mr Lin’s father that Lin had given Mr Yee “several warnings” and “when he pleaded for a second chance, Xinjie took him back, but his poor work attitude did not improve.”

The suspect, Mr Yee was arrested and charged in court. During the arrest, the police seized a chopper and a knife as evidence.

It’s a pity that the good guy ended up getting the worse end despite being so forgiving.
