When we read about uncles and aunties gathering at coffee shops to eat during the circuit breaker despite the rules in place, we were mad but we understood their motive for doing so.
They just missed socialising with their friends. They were also sick of lukewarm Prata.
But there are some crimes out there that leave you utterly confused. Why would they do that?

Man Jailed 3 Weeks for Shooting Pellets at Wedding Cars at 7am
A 53-year-old Singaporean was sentenced to three weeks’ jail for what might be one of the weirdest crimes in the country’s history: shooting ball bearings at bridal cars.
The man, Samuel Tan Joo Soon, had pleaded guilty to committing a rash act.
According to The Straits Times, the incident took place at around 7am on 1 July 2017 at a service road near Block 762, Woodlands Avenue 6.
On the morning of 1 July, seven best men drove five cars to the site of the incident to escort the bride.
As they were playing gatecrashing games downstairs, one of the bridesmaids heard a shooting sound.

Now, whether it’s the ‘happiest day of your life’ or a regular Monday, hearing the sound of a shot going off is going to make you panic.
The best men then realised that two of their cars had been damaged by what appeared to be pellets.
Later, when the police arrived on the scene, they confirmed that metal pellets were indeed shot at the bridal cars.
Tan, who lives in Block 764A of the same residential area, was questioned in his home soon after the incident.
When police officers searched his house, they found two packets of ball bearings, a bottle of plastic pellets, a packet of slingshot bands, a catapult, and a toy tank which is able to shoot projectiles.

It can’t get more incriminating than that.
Court documents indicate that Tan used a wooden catapult to shoot metal pellets from his daughter’s bedroom window in his flat on the fifth storey.
A video of the incident was later uploaded online:
Could Have Been Jailed For Six Months
Tan received a sentence of three weeks’ imprisonment, but it could have been much worse.
According to ST, those found guilty of committing a rash act can be jailed up to six months and fined up to $2,500.

In case you’re unaware, the possession of airsoft guns or any other guns which shoot pellets using compressed gas is illegal.
If you’re found with such a gun, you could be fined up to $5,000 for every gun and be jailed up to three years.
The incident happened over three years ago, but Tan’s motive for shooting pellets at the bridal cars is still unclear.
Maybe he hates weddings, maybe he hates other people being happy, or maybe he just really dislikes cars.
In any case, all we can do is speculate, and ask:
