Those, I believe, are the fundamentals of a relationship. So, when I saw this article about a man seeking his girlfriend’s forgiveness by allowing the public to slap him, I was fairly appalled.

“I abused and used violence on my GF in public. I’m an a**hole. Please feel free to slap me!”
According to eyewitnesses, the man was seen standing outside White Sands Shopping Centre from around 2 pm to 730 pm.
Those who beat their wife/husband are amongst the worst kind of humans. That being said, I do not condone any form of physical or psychological abuse towards another person. In a way, this guy deserved this for hurting his girlfriend.
However, what did the girl stand to gain from doing this to her boyfriend? Perhaps his girlfriend had no idea that he was doing this?
According to Zaobao, a lady known as Madam Wu went to chat with the man out of curiosity. The man claimed that he hit his girlfriend when he was drunk and is now seeking her forgiveness by doing this.
Madam Wu also added that the girlfriend was just sitting somewhere nearby. However, she was unable to identify her as there were multiple girls sitting at the location the man was pointing towards.
So, we’ve established that the girlfriend is aware of what her boyfriend is doing. However, my question still stands.
As a girlfriend, what did you have to gain from humiliating your boyfriend like this? Don’t get me wrong, he deserved this. However, was this necessary?

To be honest, just leave the guy already. If he’s a man who will turn violent when drunk, he should probably quit drinking altogether for her sake.
However, we don’t really know the whole story either.
Perhaps he is dealing with an unreasonable girlfriend? I mean; judging from this particular thing she made him do, I think it’s safe for us to consider this possibility too.
