McDonald’s Having Lohei Bundle & Hello Kitty Plush Collection this CNY

Every year, people in Singapore look forward to the annual Prosperity Burger and Prosperity Twister Fries that McDonald’s release.

This year, it’d be different.

Very different.

Instead of just releasing the Prosperity Burger and Prosperity Twister Fries, McDonald’s has taken it up a notch for CNY 2024: there’d be a lohei bundle, and even Hello Kitty.

Are you loving it?

Prosperity Burger and Prosperity Twister Fries Are Back

Some of us only know that Chinese New Year is coming when we see the Prosperity Burger posters outside McDonald’s outlets. This year, the Prosperity Burger and Prosperity Twister Fries will be available from 25 January 2024.

You won’t need to know how it tastes; similarly, there would be the chicken and beef version.

The single-patty burger will be from $6.60 and the double-patty burger will be from $8.60 ala carte.

This year, a few favourites made their way back, too: the Pineapple Pie, Pink Guava McFizz, a! Chicken Drumlets, Pineapple Coconut Frappé, and Kueh Bangkit Soft Serve.

If you want to try them all, you can opt for the Prosperity Family Bundle, priced auspiciously at $38.80, which comprises Prosperity Single (Beef/Chicken) Extra Value Meals (2x), McSpicy Extra Value Meals (2x), Pineapple Pies (2x) and Ha! Chicken Drumlets (2x).

Yes, I know, it’s supposed to be a sharing bundle, but no one’s judging (except, maybe, Ong Ye Kung) if you decide to have it all by yourself.

But you must share the next bundle, if not you’re a sad blue cat.

McDonald’s First Ever Lohei Bundle

Do you know that even Swensen’s has their own lohei? Whoever says western restaurants shouldn’t have lohei simply lives in the 90s.

This year, McDonald’s has a lohei bundle. At $25, it comprises four large Prosperity Twister Fries, four Ha! Chicken Drumlets and 20pcs Chicken McNuggets: all placed together so you can lohei like they’re strands of vegetables.

Perfect for the carnivores who hate the traditional lohei.

This will be available  until 28 February, or while stock last.

And finally, say hello to a familiar cat.

Hello Kitty is Back

Back in 2000, and again in 2019, Hello Kitty caused long queues all over Singapore. The first were plushies, and the second were carriers.

This year, there might just be another Hello Kitty fever.

In commemoration of Hello Kitty’s 50th Anniversary, McDonald’s will be launching the 50th Anniversary Exclusive Plush Collection featuring four unique sets, with each set comprising:

  • Set 1: 50th Anniversary & McD Crew (available from 15 Feb, 11am)

  • Set 3: Standard & Strawberry Bear (available from 22 Feb, 11am)
  • Set 4: Teddy Bear & Mermaid (available from 26 Feb, 11am)

Not sure about you, but when McDonald’s set such precise timing, you can bet that Carousell is going to be as busy as the queues outside McDonald’s outlets.

The plush sets are available for purchase at $9.90 per set with every purchase of an Extra Value Meal, Feast, 2x Value Meal or Family Meal in a single transaction, limited to a maximum of 2 units per customer.
