McDonald’s seem to be on a row this year.

After clucking into dangerous territory with their Crispy Chicken (yes KFC, I’m looking at you), they are now looking to reel in the big fish (Yes Long John Silver’s and is Fish & Co counted?) with their Fish & Fries and Sweet Chilli Fish Burger.

If you haven’t yet tasted their Crispy Chicken and swear by KFC, feel free to check out our guilt-free and wallet-friendly review here.

And while you are on that, make sure to download our Goody Feed app by hook or by crook.

McDonald’s Fish & Fries and Sweet Chili Fish Burger

Now if you don’t know, McDonald’s Fish & Fries and Sweet Chili Fish Burger are periodic items that come and go from their SG menu.

At least, it seems that way because it came somewhere around his period last year.

We are not surprised they’ve returned, given that we’ve now seen two old favourites swimmingly return in the form of the awesome (not frozen) McGriddles as well as the delightfully gooey Chocolate Pie in recent months.

Here’s a look at the returning Fish & Fries and what McDonald’s have to say about it.

Fish & Fries

Image: McDonald’s

Savour the irresistible crunch of the Fish & Fries a la carte platter featuring two tender, flaky fish fillets in a crispy batter served with a (sea)bed of McDonald’s® world-famous Fries.

Fish & Fries is available from $7.30 and for an additional $0.90, you can add a Coca-Cola Original Taste – Less Sugar (M) to enjoy the Fish & Fries Extra Value Meal™.

If you don’t get it, this is McDonald’s version of the fish and chip and prices start from $7.30 upward.

For every Nemo, there should be a Dory, and the Nemo that is Fish & Fries will find a delightful company in the returning Sweet Chilli Fish Burger that is Dory.

A mouthful? You bet. A mouthful of fish that is.

We’ve actually tried it last year and written a review. See lah if you’ve got our app you’d not have missed that.

Sweet Chilli Fish Burger

Here’s what McDonald’s have to say about the burger.

For a different taste adventure, you can fulfil your seafarer dreams and explore a burst of flavours with the Sweet Chilli Fish Burger – featuring the same crispy fish filet covered in a blanket of fresh vegetables, topped with sweet chilli mayo and sandwiched between tasty buns.

The Sweet Chilli Fish Burger is available from $6.00 or make it an Extra Value Meal™ to enjoy the main catch with Fries (M) and a Coca-Cola Original Taste – Less Sugar (M), from $7.80.

Yes, prices start from $7.80 and the fish fillet swims in an ocean of sweet chilli mayo.

Both the Fish & Fries and the Sweet Chilli Fish Burger are available from 28 March at all McDonald’s restaurants and via McDelivery and GrabFood, while stocks last.

(But stocks shouldn’t run out based on last year’s response #justsaying)

Coffee Milk Tea Soft Serve aka Yuan Yang Soft Serve

Now, if you think that my puns are lame and cold, I bet you they don’t come as cold as the McDonald’s new Coffee Milk Tea Soft.

Because if they aren’t cold, they are just either a frappe or a bubble tea depending on how warm they are, right?

Okay, stop it will you.

Also known as Yuan-Yang, this new soft serve comes in various permutations as shown below.

Prices aside, do take note that the new Coffee Milk Tea Soft Serve is exclusively available at all Dessert Kiosks, while stocks last.

And to sum it all up, this is what my editor has to say about my lame fish & chip puns.

You cod do batter.
