Just two days ago, many Singaporeans were on a wide lookout for two 11-year-old primary school girls, who had reportedly gone missing for more than 24 hours on 30 September.
The police had called for a search for the girls, who were last spotted at Seletar Mall in Sengkang wearing their school uniforms – white blouse and a green checkered skirt.

The issue caused much alarm for members of the public as it was rare for primary school children to go missing.
Thankfully, the two girls have now been found.
Lost And Found
Approximately 31 hours after their disappearance, grassroots leader Mr Richard Kwok and his daughter found both girls at Seletar Mall on 1 October, at around 2.52pm.
He announced this in a Facebook post as he knew that many were concerned about their disappearance.
I found the missing girls at 2.52pm today at Seletar Mall. Reported to police. They are on the way now.

The girls were wearing hoodies and scarves when Mr Kwok found them at Seletar Mall, which was the exact same place that they were reportedly last seen at.
After contacting the police, the girls have now safely returned to their respective families.
His Daughter Recognised Them
Mr Kwok’s daughter Alyssa must’ve had eyes as sharp as an eagle as she was the one who recognised the two girls despite their faces being concealed with hoodies and scarves, and they were both wearing masks too. She was able to recognise them through their eyes only, Mr Kwok said, attributing all the credit to her.
He shared that they were entering Seletar Mall when she alerted him that the two girls standing at the exit point were the missing ones that the police were looking for as she attended the same primary school as them.
Mr Kwok then wasted no time in bringing the girls to Burger King where he confirmed their identities, subsequently calling the police and their school. As they seemed fearful and cautious when he approached them at first, he requested for a female policewoman.
They Were “Very Emotional”
According to him, they seemed to be unharmed yet “very emotional”, so he assured them that the police were coming to keep them safe and sound.
“I tried to assure them that I am there to help them, and no one is going to hurt them,” Mr Kwok told news outlets.
He also stayed with them and handed them over to the police when they arrived.
Won’t Divulge Reasons
The reason for their running away is still unclear, as Mr Kwok preferred not to share it due to ongoing investigations.
He prayed that the girls could “find solutions to their reasons for running away from home”.
