The very first Muslim superhero from Marvel is coming to your screens soon.

Disney+ has just released the poster and trailer for Marvel Studio’s Ms. Marvel. Here are all the details about this new hero.

Muslim American Teenager that Gains Powers

Ms. Marvel is a new series that will stream exclusively on Disney+, and depicts the story of a Muslim American teenage girl, Kamala Khan.

Kamala grows up in Jersey City, and is an avid gamer and passionate fan-fiction scribe. More importantly, she’s a great fan of superheroes and has a wild imagination when it comes to Captain Marvel.

However, she feels increasingly lonely and feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and even at home.

One day, she acquires superpowers like the heroes she always admired. But does life really get better with superpowers?

This already sounds like a touching coming-of-age story, which promises lots of self-growth and finding your own place in the world.
