Well, guess what?

Thanks to the help of the kind lady, Hyza Ezany, who shared photos of the note and the power of the internet, the owner has finally been found!

Who Is The Owner?

The owner turned out to be Anne Malar Yesudass, who treasured the note ever since her late father passed away on 21 May 2010.

According to Anne, she was only 17 years old back then when she lost her father.

Like most parents, her father had dropped her off at school in the morning like any other day. He then passed her the RM10 note as her allowance for the day before heading off. She said she still remembers the exact timing that her father dropped her off.

Sadly, it wasn’t just like any other day, because that was the last time Anne saw her father alive again. He met with an unfortunate car accident that same day that took away his life.

Life is really unpredictable.

In her Facebook post, she mentioned that she kept this valuable note in her purse as a remembrance, but her purse was robbed from her when she went for a camp in Melaka on 1 September last year.

While it would be upsetting to anyone if they lost their wallet because of all the money they’ve kept inside, Anne wasn’t that affected.

Instead, she was more affected because she lost the one true thing that she valued the most: the last note her late father gave her.

And it’s very true. The wallet may contain certain things that have a lot of sentimental value, so would-be thieves, please, think twice before you act. Just like that US man who lost his wallet with money inside but only wanted his photos of his family back.

As a result, she was devastated about it for more than a year, until one day, her sister sent her a screenshot of a Facebook post by Hyza Ezany.

She Found The Note

At last, not all hope is lost.

She immediately contacted Hyza to tell her that she was the owner, and thanked her profusely for her kindness in sharing about this incident which led to her being reunited with her precious memento.

She also thanked the netizens who made Hyza’s post go viral so that it was brought up to her sister’s attention.

It is heartwarming to know that someone’s kindness goes a long way, and it is definitely nice to know that there are still good people out there who will help others.

We’re really happy for Anne that she finally got back the note she had heartaches about for the past year.
