Love at first sight may sound cliche, but this girl’s love story might just be the cutest thing ever.
And what’s even more interesting is that it’s the girl who took the initiative.

Watched Alone
Nothing is sadder than watching a movie by yourself when you’ve already made plans with someone. Cancelling last minute is not cool, by the way.
But sometimes, you just have to suck it up and go to the cinema alone.
The girl of this love story had to go to the cinema alone after her friend cancelled on her. They were set to watch Aladdin.

But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise
Handsome Stranger
Honestly, what are the odds of you sitting next to a handsome stranger when you visit the cinema alone? And he’s alone too?
Mind. Blown.
That really sounds like something out of a fairytale.
The girl accidentally fell asleep for about 20 minutes during one part of the movie (must’ve been one heck of a boring movie). Some people tend to (accidentally) rest their head against someone else’s shoulder if they fall asleep in a public place. Some people don’t like that.

But this guy definitely was the opposite.
When she woke up, not only did she find her head resting against the stranger’s shoulders…he was holding her hand too.
While that might be romantic and all, I don’t know. That dude seems a little creepy. Do you randomly just hold a stranger’s hand in the MRT when they’re sleeping?
She tried to let go of his hand, but he was holding onto hers really tightly. Sounds a little strange, but I’ll accept it.
When they walked out of the cinema, he finally let go of her hand.

Looking for Him
She took it to Facebook to find this handsome stranger, where she made a detailed post about her encounter.
On the post in UTAR Confessions (kind of like NUS Whispers, as UTAR is a university in Malaysia), she wrote, “He looked very handsome from the back as well. He looks like he was about 183cm tall, wearing Levi’s jeans and a jacket as well as some Vans sneakers. Why didn’t you give me your contact number?”
Although their meeting was short, she definitely might have developed some feelings for this stranger.
Love at first sight really does exist.

And Facebook is apparently the new lost and found section.
Found
Luck is probably on her side. First for letting her meet this handsome stranger, and second for letting her find this handsome stranger. Seems like a more successful match than Tinder would give to someone.
She sent in another post, this time thanking the admins of the page for helping her to find him.
Apparently, he was one of the people who liked the original Facebook post. They managed to chat for a while and found out that they indeed sat next to each other during the movie.
She even said that she was happy that her friend decided to cancel on her last minute.

Reactions
Some netizens were tickled by the whole ordeal and commented that they should watch Aladdin too and sit separately, and of course, fall asleep.
Most of them were also amazed at how she persevered until the end to find him, and her stalking skills for even being able to find him again.
Truly the magic of Disney, bringing people together.
