M’sian Woman Begs For Money On The Streets While Sneakily Gambling On Her Phone

We see a lot of ‘beggars’ in Europe and all over the world exploiting the kindness of the unaware tourist by asking for money even though they don’t actually need it.

What’s worse is that they negatively impact those who actually do need financial help to get by.

Those who donate do so out of the kindness of their hearts and goodwill, and such ‘scams’ might make them sceptical and reluctant to help those in need.

Unfortunately, some people just want to take advantage of the kindness of others and this lady is allegedly one of them:

M’sian Woman Begs For Money On The Streets While Sneakily Gambling On Her Phone

A 13-second video has emerged on social media showing a lady who is begging for money on the streets.

It’s not your usual scene though because, for some reason, her hands are obscured by a big basket and pieces of paper flanking both sides of her hands.

Hmm, suspicious. What’s she trying to hide?

Twitter user @poiasd95 took a video of what was really going on behind the obstruction and captioned it, “Asking alms while gambling. Nice job Makcik.”

Internet Sleuths

Internet sleuths later revealed that the gambling app she was using on her phone was 918 kiss, an online slots machine.

At least one person channelled their inner Sherlock Holmes and deduced that she was looking for 12.12 promotions on her phone.

The tweet says, “I think she’s scouring online shopping sites for the 12.12 promotion.”

Another Twitter user left a sarcastic comment reminding others not to judge her and that the lady was just “practising her e-sport.”

In all seriousness, we hope that she was just playing the game just to pass time, and that she isn’t actually gambling away all the hard-earned money given to her.

When faced with situations like these, it’s always better to give the benefit of the doubt. Let’s not let this incident prevent us from being kind and helping those who really need it.
