His eyes squinted. Kinda like that of a judgemental cat.
As he was reading the article, the editor was standing right beside him, eagerly waiting for his reaction.
Judging from how the editor’s face has twisted into a disgusting smirk, he knew that this was not going to be good.
Then, he saw it.
The sub-heading. Something he tends to skip when he reads articles.
Recalling the incident, the editor said:
“I backed away as soon as I saw the pulsating veins on his forehead. His eyes were bloodshot! I never knew it was humanly possible to rip a wooden desk in two with your bare hands!”
Said writer collapsed soon after, foaming at the mouth.
Investigations are currently ongoing. Y.J. will be taking over the article.
-End report-
All right, Y.J. here. That was incredibly exaggerated. However, that was pretty much my colleague’s reaction when he was given the article.
Hence, in an attempt to prevent an article with 5 curse words a sentence from being written, I was tasked to write this article instead.
Zero Mobile, a new virtual telco service, is coming to Singapore and they are charging $45 a month for 6GB of data and unlimited calls and SMS.
Hmm, I’m pretty sure that’s not very worth it. We could probably get something similar at $30 or so.
It’s also charging users a $50 joining fee, which no other local telcos are doing.
While it may seem like Zero Mobile is setting themselves up for failure, here comes the interesting part.
For every person the customer refers to the service, they can get a recurring credit of $9, up to a maximum of 5.
That means…your plan would be free if you refer 5 people to the service?
Wow, this is…
This is strangely familiar…
(Oh, right. Thanks, Buzz)
“We have modelled our business in a manner where revenue derived directly from the subscriber is not our primary source of revenue,” said Mr Daniel Waters, Zero Mobile’s chief operating officer.
“We certainly do not classify it as a multi-level marketing strategy because this is a short-term campaign for three months only and not our ongoing business model.” Mr Water added.
Well, that explains it. I’m really glad they made the effort to explain the situation. (You guys can keep your pitchforks and torches now)
Apparently, there will be new promotions in the future which could allow the users to lower the costs of their plans.
Anyway, for those of you who are interested, here’s a link to Zero Mobile‘s website. If I’m being honest, I’m not a fan of their referral system. I guess I’ll stick to more conventional telcos for now!
Since you’re here, why not watch a video about a guy who lodged a Police report here in Singapore because he was friendzoned? Seriously. Here, watch it and do remember to share it (and also subscribe to Goody Feed YouTube channel)!
