Yes, ladies and gentlemen; Jollibee’s latest outlet at Waterway Point has opened to huge fanfare (kinda expected), echoing the feats achieved by its local predecessors.

But it’s not just the snaking long queue outside Jollibee that’s stealing all the attention, as elsewhere, a certain clown has prepared some tempting lollipops to draw some of the crowd back in.
With discount coupons, no less.
Opening of Jollibee in Waterway Point Led to Long Queue Again & McD Seems to Be Fighting Back As Well
On Thursday (18 July), Jollibee unveiled its newest outlet at Punggol Waterway Point.
And while their latest outlet didn’t quite generate the ‘craziness’ their Woodlands counterpart saw…
The Waterway Point outlet definitely didn’t fare too badly either, with people queueing outside from as early as 7:30 a.m.
And here’s a quick update at 10:00 a.m., the official time of opening for Jollibee’s newest outlet.
A celebrity meet-and-greet session? Nope, just good ol’ chicken joy.

The power of fried chicken done right, ladies and gentlemen.
Although of course, some of the early attendants in line might’ve been tempted by something else instead.
But then again, if you were to let me choose between a bucket of Jollibee fried chicken and a free pillow…

McDonald’s strikes back
If you recall, McDonald’s @ Causeway Point had introduced several exclusive online coupons the last time Jollibee opened their Woodlands outlet.
As for the reason why? Well, I wonder.
But anyway, as you might’ve surmised from the headline, McDonald’s is back at it again.
With those downright flirtatious coupon deals of theirs.

According to Singapore Atrium Sale, the coupons are for use at Waterway Point only.
Though unlike the previous iteration, you might need actual physical coupons in order to qualify for redemption.
But hey, no worries. According to the Facebook page, McDonald’s staff members were distributing these coupons at the mall, so I reckon you just need to pay a visit to get those coupons before using them right after at the store.
And oh, you can always dabao some fried chicken from Jollibee while you’re at it too. 😉
