Popular M’sian Coffee Chain Oriental Kopi Coming to S’pore

For those who love a hot cup of homemade coffee and plates of thick egg tarts, we have some good news.

On 2 May, Oriental Kopi announced in a press release that it is planning to open its first outlet in a prime location in Singapore in the third quarter of 2024.

Singapore its First Overseas Outlet – Exclusive Menu Expected

In the press release, Oriental Kopi stated that Singapore will be its first overseas outlet.

While it is yet to be revealed which its first outlet will open, they stated they are planning to open eight other outlets here over the span of three years.

This expansion is symbolic of their first-ever joint venture with Paradise Group which owns over 100 restaurants worldwide including Marina Bay Sand’s Seafood Paradise and LeNu Chef’s Wai Noodle Bar located in various malls in Singapore.

The most exciting news is that Oriental Kopi is promising us a Singapore-exclusive menu that we can enjoy alongside their signatures.

Popular Coffee Chain in Malaysia – Mouthwatering Signatures

With 14 outlets spanning across Johor, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor and a new merchandise store at Johor’s St. Giles Hotel, Oriental Kopi is well-loved for items such as their hot coffees, egg tarts and savoury items like Nasi Lemak and Curry Laksa Mee.

Their coffee is described as having a full-bodied Nanyang-style brew made from a “golden ratio” of top-quality Arabica, Robusta and Liberica beans.

They also have an award-winning series of Signature Egg Tarts, which are creamy, crispy and thick – so much so that they won the “Thickest Egg Tart” Award in 2021 and “Most Number of Egg Tart Sold” in 2022.

Paradise Group’s Chief Operating Officer Edlan Chua told Channel News Asia that they are “thrilled” to work with Oriental Kopi and are committed to deliver quality products and services.

He added that they are “confident that it will be a well-loved concept by Singapore diners”.
