The Entire of Parkway Parade Has Been Listed As a Place a COVID-19 Patient Has Been To

Well, this is exactly the reason why you shouldn’t panic as MOH updates the list of places that COVID-19 patients have been to.

Because today, an entire shopping mall has been added to the list.

Parkway Parade, the mall that’s popular even when it’s not within walking distance from an MRT station, has just been listed as one of the public places visited by COVID-19 patient/s.

The period is on 20 May 2020 between 3pm to 4pm.

As a precautionary measure, people who had been at these locations during the specified timings should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit.

They should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their exposure history.

In addition, while you might’ve read earlier today that there are 3 Singaporeans or Singapore PRs infected, contact tracing has now confirmed that there are actually just 2 instead after re-classification.

Both are unlinked; it’s an 18-year-old Singapore PR and a 73-year-old Singaporean.

MOH has also completed one round of surveillance swab tests for all nursing home staff and residents on 8 May and 30 May.

Out of about 13,200 residents who were tested, all results were negative except for 4 residents of Orange Valley Nursing Home, as reported on 21 May.

Out of about 9,000 nursing home staff, only one from Ren Ci @ Ang Mo Kio had tested positive, as announced on 8 May.

Status in Singapore So Far

Overall, the number of new cases in the community has decreased, from an average of 6 cases per day in the week before, to an average of 4 per day in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has remained stable at an average of 2 per day in the past two weeks.

So far, there are 321 patients who are still in hospital, and 12,841 in at community facilities.

8 patients are in ICU.
