Before you head down to your nearest NTUC FairPrice to stock up on the toilet rolls, hereโs something you need to know: PM Lee isnโt going to talk about lockdowns; heโs going to talk about the path to a new normal.
So unless I live in an alternate universe, it most probably mean weโre moving to the next stage in our reopening plans.

So when PM Lee made this announcement, no oneโs heart skips a beat:
In the post, he said that he would be โaddressing Singaporeans on the COVID-19 situation and the path to a new normalโ tomorrow at 12pm. He also added this: โPlease carry on as per normal โ there is no need to rush out to stock up on items or dine out!โ
You can watch his address on his Facebook Page, or any mainstream TV channels.
Singaporeโs Reopening Plan
Lest youโre not aware, before the surge in cases, Singapore actually has another plan to transit to a โCOVID-19 Resilient Nationโ with this timeframe:
Preparatory Stage: 10 Aug to Early Sept (to make adjustments to healthcare protocols)
Transition Stage A: It was initially expected to start in Sept, whereby Singapore will further open up its economy and โlives will be more normalโ, and there will be more cases
