How far would you go to feed your Pokémon GO addiction?
Well, lingering around in Hougang is nothing compared to what this person has done.
So, something decided to take his or her Pokémon Go addiction to a whole new level by dyeing it to resemble a Pikachu. A video will speak a million words here:
The dog is a Pomeranian, an HDB-approved breed with relatively long fur. The video, first posted on Facebook and Twitter by a certain Elihudi Justin Urassa, has garnered over 3 million videos and over 9,000 Shares.
And you can bet that most people, including Pokémon GO players, are incensed (pun intended).
The first case of an uproar of dyed dogs that went viral occurred in Singapore, when a someone from Singapore decided to dye her Chow Chows to look like pandas just to “rent” them out as a commercial project. The owner justified her actions by claiming that the dogs are well taken-cared of, and enjoyed their “job”.
During that period, the issue of dyeing dogs’ fur has surfaced, and it was revealed that given the right dye, it would not harm the dogs, although this is highly not recommended.
More than three weeks have passed since the video was uploaded, yet no one knows who the owner is, nor whether the dog is dyed with a safe dye. The video is posted by someone from Brighton, UK, so it’s most likely that the owner and the dog are from there.
Well, at least Pokémon GO’s popularity is declining.
