Policewoman Wins Praise for Keeping Super Calm Even After Being Reportedly Slapped By Man

“Keep calm and carry on.”

Though easy to say, it’s considerably harder to practice what you preach.

Unless, of course, you’re this particular policewoman whose splendid portrayal of the quote has earned praise from the crowd.

Policewoman Wins Praise for Keeping Super Calm Even After Being Reportedly Slapped By Man

Nobody likes being slapped. Not even a seasoned veteran in uniform, I’m sure.

But for this policewoman, professionalism takes precedence over any personal offence.

So, lest you’re unaware, a video clip has been making its rounds on social media.

In the video recording, a man in a light blue polo tee could be seen getting apprehended by two police officers.

Things must have been pretty physical, though, as another civilian had to help pin the suspect’s hands behind his back.

A third man was also involved. He rocked a cigarette as he pointed a finger at the suspect.

In the caption, it was indicated that the policewoman had been slapped and kicked within a “split second”.

The exact moment of violence is unclear in the clip, but the suspect could be seen flailing in one instance.

Nevertheless, the policewoman presented a calm front throughout the ordeal.

The suspect was also ultimately pinned and cuffed.

The officers were subsequently commended online for their professionalism while conducting the arrest.

Incidentally, a couple of Netizens also volunteered some legal information.

Teck Whye Lane

Though the reason for the arrest remains unclear, other details have come to light.

For starters, the altercation had occurred in a coffee shop at Blk 143 Teck Whye Lane.

The police had also received a call for help on 27 August 2023 at around 7:00 p.m.

The suspect, a 71-year-old man, has been arrested for the voluntary cause of hurt to a public servant.

As for the two officers, both reportedly suffered minor injuries, but neither needed medical assistance.

Police investigations are currently ongoing.

History

There seems to have been much more blood than kopi spilt at coffee shops in the past year.

A brawl broke out in a Taman Jurong coffee shop in September last year over an alleged molest case. The fight was a bloody one.

Returning to the original ghetto, Yishun, we also saw a coffee shop fight break out in June last year after a diner got angry at a beer lady.

And in June this year, diners at the coffee shop located at Block 327 Hougang Avenue 5 found themselves with front-row seats to a live wrestling match.

A fight had broken out at the coffee shop at around 9 pm; apparently, a group of patrons had thrown their cigarette butts on the ground instead of in the ashtray.

Suffice to say, the fight was a brutal one.

Since when did coffee shops turn into fight clubs?
