For most parents, watching their child turn 21 is a very long journey. After many ups and downs, the child has finally hit the 21-year-old milestone and is officially an adult.
While we expect lots of extravagant gifts like branded handbags, perfume, and clothes, this woman in Johor received a Porsche from her parents.
21YO Woman in Johor Received a Porsche Delivered in a Transparent Trailer for Her Birthday
A 21-year-old woman in Johor Bahru received a Porsche sports car for her 21st birthday present.
That’s not all though—it was delivered in a transparent lorry carriage to her workplace as a surprise. There were yellow party balloons inside the carriage, which complements the colour of the car.
On the glass container, there were some words on it, including one paragraph which translates to “in the eyes of mum and dad, you are the best.”
Imagine the reactions from her fellow colleagues, who probably received Hot Wheels as a car when they were younger.
Her daughter was surprised but a little embarrassed and tried to hide from her colleagues and onlookers.
Daughter Always Wanted a Car and Her Dad Promised Her
The 21-year-old woman was the second daughter of her family.
When she was younger, her father promised her a sports car as this is “Dad’s Promise, Daughter’s Dream.”
The woman was aware that she will be receiving a sports car but is unsure of the model, colour, and brand that she is getting.
In order to make it a surprise, this car was sent a month in advance of her actual birthday in December.
In an interview with Sin Chew Daily, her mother said that this sports car was selected two months ago and they felt it was suitable for their daughter. It was also arranged to be given in a special way.
She added that they have two sons and two daughters, whom they all love equally. The eldest son also received a gift on his 21st birthday.
We don’t exactly know what that gift is but judging from the sports car, we can get an idea.
Car Presentation Ceremony Started Out in China and was Seen for The First Time in Johor Bahru
A local car dealer also pointed out that such car delivery ceremonies originated in China and were not seen for a very long time.
While it was seen in other parts of Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur and Penang—this was the first in Johor.
I hope they are accepting godchildren.
