Playstation Fans in S’pore Can Pre-Order PS5 From 18 Sep For $599, Two Months Before Official Launch
According to Mothership, Sony’s Playstation 5 (PS5) will be available for pre-order from today, 18 September, from 11:00 a.m. onwards.
Purchasers will be able to opt from two varying editions of the console:
- PS5 Digital Edition, recommended retail price of S$599
- PS5 with an Ultra HD Blu-ray™ disc drive, recommended retail price at S$729
The former is an all-digital version of the console with no disc drive. Users are required to sign into Playstation Network and head to the Playstation Store to purchase and download games.
As for the latter, users will be able to purchase physical copies of released games. They will also be able to view 4K Blu-ray discs on 4K TV with their console.
Official Launch Date
The official launch for the PS5 in Singapore will be on 19 November 2020, one week after the console is launched in the United States (U.S.).
Consumers can look forward to an enticing line-up of games after the launch, with exclusive titles such as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Demon’s Souls.
They will also be able to play the following games on the console:
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
- Gran Turismo 7
- Godfall
- NBA 2K21
- EA Sports FIFA 21
The new Harry-Potter themed Hogwarts Legacy, which is set for a 2021 release, will also be available on the PS5.
