On Monday, the Ministry of Health (MOH) released, for the first time, the list of places that Covid-19 patients have been to during their “infectious period”.

And the two entries on the list belonged to Jurong Point, a popular shopping mall in the west:

  • 20 May 2020 / 4.30pm-6pm / Jurong Point (NTUC FairPrice)
  • 21 May 2020 / 5.30pm-6.30pm / Jurong Point (Shokhutsu Ten Japanese Food Street)

MOH said that the list will be updated on a 14-day rolling basis and as “epidemiological investigations continues”.

It Has Been Updated

And it’s all in the west.

According to CNA, two more entries were added to the list of public places that Covid-19 cases had visited:

  • 24 May 2020 / 6am-8am / Jurong West Street 91 wet market
  • 24 May 2020 / 1pm-2pm / Jurong Point Fairprice Xtra

With that, both Fairprice outlets at Jurong Point have been added to the list.

How To Use The List:

The list includes places that Covid-19 patients had visited for “more than 30 minutes” during their infectious periods.

It excludes the patients’ workplaces, public transport, healthcare facilities and residences as all close contacts would’ve been contacted by MOH.

Anyone who had visited the places during the same period must monitor their own health for the next 14 days.

If there are any symptoms, please see a doctor immediately.

Covid-19 In S’pore

Yesterday (26 May), Singapore reported 383 new Covid-19 cases.

The lower number of cases reported today is partly due to fewer tests being conducted.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 32,343.

Out of today’s cases, 1 is a Singaporean or Singapore PR.

A majority of the cases are work permit holders living in dormitories.

On average, based on yesterday’s number, the number of new cases in the community has increased, from an average of 4 cases per day in the week before to an average of 7 per day in the past week.

This is partly due to MOH’s active surveillance and screening of nursing home residents and pre-school staff, which have picked up more cases in the past week.

The number of unlinked cases in the community has remained stable at an average of 2 per day in the past two weeks.

People Living In Non-West Areas Should Be Careful Too

If there’s a message that should be repeated over and over again, it’s this:

Stay home.

Because as the list of public places have shown, even when we’re out and about, there’s a chance of getting infected by Covid-19 and bringing it back to your family.

And remember what MOH said about “updated based on epidemiological investigations”?

Doesn’t it just sound like, There’s more but we haven’t got to it yet?

We’re less than a week away from Phase One, the true test of CB and if everything is fine, we might be able to graduate to Phase Two in another month-plus time.

So let’s all work for it because not only do people in Singapore need to get back their social lives, businesses are now crying from the strain.
