Imagine going for a birthday party, and wanting to send your drunk friend home…only to lose three teeth for no reason.
Here’s what happened to a woman.
Woman Got Punched By Friend of Friend Just for Helping Her Drunk Friend Home
A woman got punched in the face until her mouth bled, losing three teeth, after trying to help her drunk friend get home from a birthday party.
The incident happened around 3:30 am last Tuesday (October 15) near Suntec City.
The victim, who asked to stay anonymous, told Shin Min Daily News that she went to her friend’s birthday celebration around midnight in a nightclub establishment. Several male partygoers were already at the nightclub when she arrived.
“These guys were friends of my friend. I’d seen them once before, but we weren’t acquainted,” she told the newspaper.
The group stayed at the nightclub until about am, by which time the birthday girl was completely drunk. “My friend was intoxicated, so she asked me to help her get home since we live in the same apartment,” the victim said.
As both women got into a taxi, one of the men suddenly opened the car door and tried to pull the drunk birthday girl out. He then started hurling insults at the victim.
When she insisted on taking her friend home safely, the man threatened her, saying “Want to see what happens when I take off my ring?”, which seem to imply that he wanted to hit her.
The man then attacked her, landing multiple punches to her forehead, back of head, and right temple.
Police confirmed receiving a report about the incident.
A 22-year-old man was arrested for disturbing public peace. He and two other men, aged 25 and 26, are helping with investigations into voluntarily causing hurt.
The 24-year-old female victim suffered minor injuries but declined hospital treatment.
Police investigations are ongoing.
