It has returned, the long lost forgotten job—Safe Entry Ambassadors.
You saw that right.
JobStudio, which specialises in healthcare recruitment, recently uploaded a job listing on JobStreet, a popular website for people to find work.
It was uploaded on 15 October 2022 but can no longer be found.
JobStudio’s operation director, Joseph Khor mentioned that changes had been made to the original safe entry listing and has updated the job description as “it is not specifically for performing safe entry duties.”
Wait, then why was the title “Safe Entry Ambassador”?
He himself is puzzled.
Anyway, the damage had already been done.
The listing sparked concerns among citizens on whether safe entry restrictions would be imposed again.
Can you imagine walking around open areas in masks, and long lines at the entrances of malls because that one person “couldn’t get his safe entry to work”?
I’m looking at you Soh Bee Lan.
Anyways, the safe entry ambassador listing isn’t the only one that JobStudio has.
They’re also looking for healthcare assistants, admins, and screeners.
But to calm your worries, Khor has clarified that these listings are just to help healthcare institutions primarily since the recent XBB wave has led to more hospital patients.
He advises the public to only listen to announcements made by the Ministry of Health.
JobStudio isn’t the only one that got found listing safe entry jobs.
Back on Indeed, an old listing for safe entry ambassadors by People’s Profilers resurfaced.
According to chief consultant Debbie So, their last listing for such jobs was at the start of the year, and posts could have resurfaced automatically by job platforms.
Whatever it is, it does seem fishy…or someone isn’t doing their job well.
