On 9 Oct, the creators behind Night Owl Cinematics (NOC) posted two YouTube videos:
- one of a tour of a luxury house in Singapore on NOC’s official YouTube page
- a 360-tour of the same house on Reno King’s YouTube page
For those who don’t know, Reno King is the project of NOC co-founder Ryan Tan.
Shortly after those videos, allegations of workplace abuse at the hands of co-founder Sylvia Chan emerged on the internet and spread like, well, allegations on the internet.
During that period, NOC and Reno King had not posted any videos on YouTube, perhaps due to the number of dislikes and hateful comments they might have drawn.
But after several apologies, clarifications, and lots of chicken rice, the dust had settled over the NOC saga, and it began posting videos again.
And now, Reno King has done the same.
Latest Reno King Video by Ryan is Now on Another Channel & It’s the ‘First Episode’
In the first Reno King video since the NOC Saga, Ryan and NOC producer Isabelle detail the “mega transformation” of her 4-room HDB flat. They called it the “first episode” of the series.
Before that though, Ryan felt it necessary to address the elephant in the room. And it appears there were several of them.
“Is Isabelle my mistress? No. We are very very close friends and we work together. But we don’t have anything going on,” he said.
Isabelle chimed in as well to address the rumour: “Okay, you all think about it ah, if we had anything, why would I continue working with him?”
Ryan then moved on to question number two: did he pay for Isabelle’s house? The answer to this, too, was a no.
“The only thing I paid for is a door gift that I got for her lah,” he said, and it turned out to be a painting of the two of them.
The two then explore Isabelle’s newly-renovated four-room HDB flat, and describe in-depth the 120k revamp that the house has undergone.
“I have to say, this is the most beautiful project we have ever done,” Ryan said.

“Hello toxic internet!” he said.
Instead of the toxic comments he expected, however, most netizens had nothing but nice things to say.
