Did you receive a WhatsApp video yesterday showing an accident of how an excavator on the back of a trailer flipped over after hitting a height limit pole?
This happened before the Sims Ave entrance of the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE).
See for yourself.

It was posted on the Roads.SG Facebook page where it went viral, garnering over 50K views and 1,000 shares.
But friends, it’s no new news.
According to the Land Transport Authority, it actually occurred last month on 28 September, at around 10:00 a.m.
But instead of the accident itself, I turn to the attention-worthy comments our dear netizens are coming forward with on the Facebook post.
These are the top 3 comments:
If you can’t see…
Person A said the driver is “obviously bloody moron” while B added fire to the fuel saying that the “driver’s license need to be suspended for life. KNN…”. Person C called him a “retard”.
Hmm and I’m sure many would not like this.
He speculated and said this:
“If me I will bet it must be a PRC as they have this culture of thinking they know better than anyone else.”
Hmm. I’m sorry I’ll have to defend our PRC friends. I’ve nothing against anyone but to speculate and say that about them isn’t a very gracious thing to do?
I thought what this guy said was right.
That’s a logical way of looking at things. PRC, Singaporean, or any other nationality the driver might be…
Let’s be objective about things.
Either way, the incident has happened and I’m sure the poor driver wouldn’t have deliberately caused this?
Come on, it’s not a pretty sight to behold but can we please be more civil with our words? And trust the authorities to deal with this.
Words have meaning. If you don’t know what to say, don’t say anything.
If it helps, just put yourself in the shoes of this driver. You committed this mistake, you didn’t want it to happen but the internet is so not forgiving.
Read those comments back at yourself and see if those words haunt you.
Spread love, not hate. Okay? The world can be a better place with lesser malicious opinions.
And of course, Internet being the Internet, whatever happened six years ago might feel like it happened six hours ago as long as it’s a viral content.
So don’t just assume something happened recently when someone shared a video.
For example, the Po Chai Pill issue. An old news suddenly turned viral and nearly become real news – until HSA stepped in to clarify that it’s old news.
