It’s always good and fun times at the beach… till someone starts taking pictures of you. Secretly.
That is what happened to a woman and her sister at Siloso beach, and she managed to confront him about it. Here’s what happened.
Noticed His Phone Pointed Towards Them And Clicking Volume Button
According to a series of Tweets by the woman, she and her sister noticed the man walking past them a few times. Although he walked very close to their beach mat and gave off a “weird vibe”, they decided to ignore him.
Alas, their vibe check was right. The woman observed the man while her sister was packing up to leave because he looked so sus, or suspicious.
Lo and behold: he was pointing his phone toward both of them, and was pressing the volume button on his phone. (Yes, you can press the volume buttons to take pictures while in your camera app.)

The woman proceeded to call out to him, asking if he was taking pictures of them. The man allegedly ignored her until he decided to turn around and ask, “are you talking to me?”
Well, there seems to only be one creep on the beach, so… yes. She was talking to you.
Proceeded to Confront Him, Deleted Pictures of Them from His Gallery
The woman then proceeded to walk up to him and asked him to show her his gallery. She claimed to have deleted eight out of nine pictures of her and her sister.
In the video attached to her Tweets, the woman can be seen holding the man’s phone, probably trying to delete the pictures. Meanwhile, the man kept trying to get his phone back, including hooking an arm around her shoulders.
In another video, the sisters ran into the man again after leaving the sand. The man allegedly touched the woman again, trying to move her by her waist.
You can hear him admitting in the video that he came to the beach with his girlfriend, to which the woman replied, “the audacity to do it (taking pictures of girls) while your girlfriend’s there, that’s f***ed up bro.”
The man apparently said that he was going to share the pictures with his friends. He supposedly did not apologise for his actions and showed zero remorse as well.

Mixed Reactions by Netizens
Some netizens applauded her for standing up to the man, and roasted those who said that the man did nothing wrong by taking pictures in a public place. Here’s one of the top comments in the Reddit thread discussing this incident:
Many also shared their personal experience with creeps and praised the woman for her bravery.
Meanwhile, other netizens said that she should have reported this incident to the police since she had the proof and the man’s details (or at least, his Instagram handle). By posting videos of him and exposing his Instagram handle, some said that the woman could also be liable for harassment.
Some Reddit commenters shared that deleting images from one’s gallery and ‘recently deleted’ folder does not mean that the pictures cannot be recovered. There may be automatic backups to the cloud, and the man could have just downloaded data recovery software to recover the images easily.
In this case, it may be best to report the man instead of simply deleting the pictures from his phone. This is useful advice to remember, in case you ever (unfortunately) find yourself in a similar situation!
