Imagine this: You’re out and about doing your normal tasks for the day when suddenly, your helper send you an image of a naked boy.
And it’s not just any naked boy.
It’s your four-year-old son.
And it’s not just one time either, but multiple times after she was told not to.
That’s exactly what happened to this mother of 3 in Singapore and she’s resorting to drastic measures regarding her helper’s weird habit.
FDW Repeatedly Took Video Clips of Employers’ Kids Bathing Coz They Were ‘Cute’
According to AsiaOne, the 29-year-old helper was hired by the family in June 2019 to take care of her three kids.
At first, everything was fine.
The helper has a good relationship with her kids and did well at her work.
However, in Feb 2020, things took a weird turn.
The 37-year-old employer was horrified when one day, her helper sent her an image of her naked 4-year-old son while he was bathing.
When asked why she did that, the helper said that the boy was cute.
The employer then told the helper to stop doing things like that.
A Series Of Strange Events
Even after the first time, the employer alleged that her helper continued sending her images and videos of her naked kids.
This continued despite “multiple warnings”, the employer alleged.
It got so bad that the employer decided to lodge a police report.
Finally, though, the helper stopped taking such photos.
However, the helper allegedly started losing interest in the job and often made mistakes.
She had even wanted to go home, to which the employer reportedly obliged and arranged for.
Now, you’ll think it’ll be over but apparently, there’s more to the story.
The helper ran to her agency and asked for help, accusing her employer of threatening to cancel her work permit.
The employer also discovered that her helper had taken “suggestive lingerie photos” in her home while setting up a new Facebook account for her after an encounter with what could be a scammer.
Police investigations are ongoing for the case.
Previously in April 2018, an Indonesian maid in Hong Kong was jailed for three months after she live-streamed children under her care showering despite being told not to do so.
There was another case in Macau where another maid was arrested because she took photos of her charge while he was showering.
By the way, since we’re on the topic of Foreign Domestic Workers (FDWs), did you know that just 2 days ago, another FDW, who was initially sentenced to 12 months’ jail, was acquitted of her theft charges?
It doesn’t involve an illustrious family like the Changi Airport Group founder but the storyline is just as interesting.
