The Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) has released the full programme for its 37th edition, with the festival set to return from 21 October to 1 November 2026.
The festival will open with Korean thriller The Assassin(s), while Indian actor Aamir Khan will be among the featured guests at this year’s event.
Early-bird ticket sales began at noon on 25 September, while general public ticket sales will open at noon on 28 September.
Aamir Khan To Receive Screen Icon Award
Aamir Khan will receive the Screen Icon Award at SGIFF 2026, where he will also take part in a celebration marking the anniversary of his 2001 film Lagaan.
The award recognises his contributions to cinema across decades, with Khan known for roles in films including Lagaan, 3 Idiots and Dangal.
Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Koreeda is also among the international guests expected at the festival.
Korean Thriller The Assassin(s) To Open Festival
SGIFF 2026 will begin with The Assassin(s), a Korean thriller selected as the opening film.
The film is part of this year’s programme showcasing a range of international cinema, including feature films, documentaries, short films and works from emerging filmmakers.
The festival will feature screenings across various venues in Singapore, with the full schedule now available after the programme launch on 25 September.
Full Programme Released Ahead Of Ticket Sales
The 37th edition of SGIFF will include competitive sections, special presentations and other film-related events as part of its annual celebration of local and international cinema.
The festival has been held annually since 1987 and is one of Singapore’s longest-running film events.
