Much like a butthole, almost everyone has an Instagram account.
Reader: Almost everyone? Who the heck doesn’t have a butthole?
You ask too many questions, dear reader.
In this day and age, having an Instagram account is part and parcel of having a social life; it’s where you show all your friends everything from the food you eat to the one push-up you do a day.
And if you’re a celebrity, an Instagram account gives your fans a glimpse into your personal life, something many of them appreciate a little too much.
Song Joong-ki Finally Has an IG Account Since Valentine’s Day & It Now Has Over 800K Followers
If you’ve watched all of Song Joong-ki’s acting, and have been lamenting over his lack of an Instagram account which prevents you from stalking him online, well, you’ve finally got your wish.
Song opened his official Instagram account (@hi_songjoongki) on 14 Feb, but has already amassed a following of over 800,000 followers.
In fact, his account attracted more than 300,000 followers in just eight hours after it was opened.

I’ve been on Instagram for nearly a decade and I have less than 1,000 followers. Life’s not fair.
For his fans, it must have been a better Valentine’s Day gift than the ones they received from their partners.
Fans were unsure if it really was Song’s account at first, as there was no blue checkmark, which acts as Instagram’s verification that the account does indeed belong to a public figure.
However, his account bio stated it was run by his agency History D&C.
Starred in Descendants of the Sun
For those who don’t know, Song has played roles in films like The Innocent Man (2012) and Arthdal Chronicles (2019), but he is best known for his role in the 2016 hit TV series Descendants of The Sun, which was also screened on Netflix and propelled him to even greater fame.
Song also recently appeared in the Netflix sci-fi movie, Space Sweepers, which starred Kim Tae-ri from The Handmaiden (2016).
His latest role comes in the TV series Vincenzo, where he plays a lawyer and mafia consigliere.
Expressed Support For SG Cares Giving Week
Last December, Song gave his Singaporeans fans a treat when he expressed his support to the SG Cares Giving Week 2020.
“Hi Singaporeans, this is Song Joong-ki”, he said, and fans here likely collapsed as they heard it.
“I hope you can enjoy the happiest week through volunteering works with warm hearts,” he added.
The initiative encourages Singaporeans to be more caring and supportive of one another.
In response to his video, the Song Joong Ki Official Singapore Fan Club donated $200 to Club Rainbow Singapore, a charity that helps chronically ill kids and their families.
So if you haven’t already followed Song Joong-ki on Instagram, what are you waiting for?
