St. John’s Island Marine Laboratory explained that the drop was due to SPCA’s sterilisation programme. The programme helped to prevent overpopulation of cats.

Getting There

Sounds like a plan for purr-fect day out! Tickets are available at the ferry terminal at Marina South Pier.

It takes about 30-45 minutes to get to the island. According to easybook.com, ticket prices go at $18 for adults and $12 for children.

The St John’s Island National Marine Laboratory also has organised guided tours. Better yet, it’s completely free of charge!
