Dogs are affectionately known to be man’s Best Friend. Many would often say that dogs are just too good for this world. We just don’t deserve them.
Like everything that we take for granted, we often overlook the well-being of our fur babies. It’s just something that we humans do to the good we chance upon.
The aliens weren’t lying when they said that we were a destructive species.
You’ve probably heard of that man who filmed himself explicitly abusing his pet Pomeranian. Messed up? You tell me.
The entire ordeal was uploaded by the suspect who was identified to be a Singaporean based in Thailand who identified as Woo Zhi Heng Samuel.
Samuel issued an apology video accompanied by his Thai girlfriend. The suspect was also pictured turning himself into the police after causing national outrage which followed after a post made by SPCA Singapore.
Video Supposedly Filmed a Few Months Back
In his public apology video, the suspect claimed that the video was filmed a few months back.
He also added that the dog was safe and sound and that netizens need not worry about it.
It was then that he announced that he will be surrendering to the Thai authorities for his faults. He said, “I’m ready to face all the punishments. I hope everybody can give me a second chance.”
In case you haven’t seen it, here’s the video:
It remains unclear whether the suspect really did turn himself in to the police. Though photographs of himself in a police station was later on uploaded by his girlfriend on her Facebook account.
The post also included a clip of Samuel playing with a Pomeranian that seems to be the one he had abused in his earlier videos.
Suspect Claims to be Mentally Ill
On a separate Facebook post put up around the same time period as the apology video, the suspect also mentioned that he was “sick”.
Two images of what seems to be an unkempt living room accompanied the post. He also claimed that he had been suffering from his condition for quite a while as told by his friends and family.
Samuel also shared a series of live videos where his girlfriend is seen engaging the dog.
Mixed Reactions from Netizens
The chain of rather confusing events have had netizens on the edge of their seats for more. While others simply bantered and mocked the suspect’s actions, others also expressed their support towards his recovery.
The outcome of the case remains unknown. An awful case of bad PR? We will never know.
But one thing is certain, should you know of any cases as such happening, do not hesitate to report it to the proper authorities.
