Wah!banana star Umehara Keiji.

If you’ve been subscribed to Keiji’s Youtube channel, you’ll know that the Youtuber has a knack for trying out the coolest things in town.

Yet, even so, one probably wouldn’t have expected him to try out the hottest topic in the past week:

Maybe Asiaa service that allows you to rent a date from its comprehensive list of featured models, for a certain price.

Sounds weirdly like something else you might’ve inadvertently searched up on the net? Well, this is not that. Or so Maybe claims anyway. But is it truly as they preach?

Let’s find out.

In Keiji’s 13:13-long video, he “rents” Kae, a Maybe talent available at $150/date, for a two-hour long siesta.

And throughout the date, he asks her a number of questions, some of which might really intrigue the average viewer.

Here’s some to exemplify.

And her response? Yes, she has been on other dates, and there were times when she was booked by not just one guy, but as many as three.

Answer? Apparently not.

Along the way, he also asked whether any guys had ulterior motives, and she responded with a resounding “yeah”.

How surprising.

Thereafter, they went along for a Japanese meal, before going for a quick ‘Korean pool’ session and some serious Insta business.

Just before the date ends, they sit down on chairs to discuss how it went down and proceeded to talk more about Maybe and how you can book a rental boyfriend/girlfriend.

It should be taken note, too, that Keiji ends off by describing it as an “eye-opening” experience.

Here, you can watch the video for yourself here:

Is it truly worth it though?

Having watched the video for yourself, you might find yourself thinking: “Hey, it’s not so bad! If the price was just a bit cheaper it could’ve been pretty fun!”

But it seems that over on the internet, netizens aren’t quite as taken with the whole concept.

Now, I shall not screenshot any information because some might get particularly ‘rampant’, but it seems that the general consensus is that the service doesn’t warrant existing prices, and Singaporeans could do better just finding actual dates themselves.

Though hey, if the idea floats your boat, I would say that by all means try it out for yourself. Just be ready to shell out the bucks though, and plan out the things to do.

Oh and also, no dirty business.

You can find out more on their website here.

Have fun! 🙂
