Football fans in Singapore can now subscribe directly to Premier League+, the English Premier League’s first streaming service sold straight to viewers.
Singapore is the first market in the world to receive the service, which covers all 380 matches in the 2026/27 Premier League season. Subscribers will also be able to watch the FA Cup and Community Shield.
Standalone subscriptions cost S$16 for 24 hours, S$44 a month or S$399 for 12 months.
The S$16 Pass Does Not Work on TVs
The 24-hour pass provides access to live and on-demand content for 24 hours after purchase.
However, it can be used only on mobile devices and laptops. Those hoping to watch a match on a television will need one of the longer subscriptions or an eligible StarHub plan.
The monthly subscription runs until it is cancelled, while the annual pass provides access for 12 months at a lower effective monthly cost.
Premier League+ supports phones, laptops and compatible televisions. Its features include alternative camera angles, live match statistics, team-specific pages, highlights, full-match replays and a round-the-clock Premier League channel.
Streams can reach 4K resolution when the content, device and internet connection support it.
Do Fans Still Need StarHub or Singtel?
No telco television subscription is required for someone buying Premier League+ directly. That gives fans a way to pay only for the football service without signing up for a broader television package.
However, going directly to Premier League+ is not necessarily the cheapest option for everyone.
Eligible StarHub customers can get a 12-month Premier League subscription for S$238, while new customers can get it for S$380. Premier League+ is included, and eligible existing subscribers can link or activate their access instead of paying separately for the S$399 annual direct subscription.
StarHub also continues to offer Premier League coverage through its television services. Singtel TV customers can continue receiving the relevant channels through the existing cross-carriage arrangement with StarHub.
In short, the direct service offers greater flexibility, especially for fans who want only a month or even 24 hours. Existing telco customers should check whether their current package already includes access before paying for another subscription.
Singapore Is the Premier League’s Test Market
The Premier League first announced its Singapore streaming plan in February 2026 and revealed the subscription prices in May.
Premier League chief executive Richard Masters described the Singapore rollout as both a commercial service and an opportunity for the league to learn how a direct subscription model works.
Until now, the league has largely relied on broadcasters around the world to sell its matches to viewers. Premier League+ allows it to deal directly with subscribers, although the Singapore service was developed alongside local rights holder StarHub.
The 2026/27 Premier League season begins in August 2026, with all 380 matches scheduled to be available to viewers in Singapore.
