They say start them young but that’s usually used to refer to educational or academic pursuits such as reading and writing, or art… and not sexually deviant behaviour like paedophilia.
As much as I doubt this, maybe it was one of those instructions unclear, got my head stuck in the oven–kind of situation?
Masturbating to Primary School Girls’ Clothes
On 3 September 2020, an 18-year-old young man spotted a few items of clothing that belonged to a primary school girl hanging outside an apartment unit to dry.
The clothes include two school skirts, two pairs of gym shorts, a school top, and a PE (Physical Education) shirt.
He stole all the clothes and took the staircase to the tenth floor.
This is where he started to touch and smell the clothes, using them to pleasure himself.
Once done, he stashed the clothes inside the dry riser and went about his day.
Thankfully, the stolen clothes didn’t go unnoticed.
The maid noted that the clothes were missing some time later and she immediately informed her employer.
The employer then made a police report.
The police reviewed the CCTV footage of the area and spotted the young man wandering around the unit where the clothes were stolen from.
He was subsequently arrested on 2 October 2020.
The young man admitted to the crime.
He further confessed that he has stolen another girl’s clothes from another unit up to seven times, masturbated to them, and stored them in the dry riser as well.
The police found up to 50 different articles of clothing, including school uniforms and underwear, as well as cloth hangers, amounting to around S$220.
Even after being arrested, the young man still isn’t repentant.
Instead, he committed his crimes at another apartment block, stealing another girl’s clothes… twice!
Some people really never learn.
Sentenced to 21 Months of Probation, 50 Hours of Community Service, One Year of Monitoring and a Curfew
As he committed the crimes while he was still considered underage, the young man wasn’t sent to prison.
Instead, he was sentenced to 21 months of probation, and 50 hours of community service.
He is to be electronically monitored for a year, or until he enlisted in the army to serve his national service obligations. He is not allowed to leave the house between 10pm and 6am.
To control his paedophilic tendencies, the accused will also be sent for psychological counselling and treatment.
