The Chinese New Year celebration is here, and with it comes the tradition of last-minute shopping for items like Pokka Green Tea and pineapple tarts to please your picky relatives.

On the first day of the Chinese New Year (10 February), more than 100 NTUC Fair Price stores across the island will remain open. To be honest, you should skip the rest of this guide and trust that your nearest NTUC store has got you covered.
But that’s not all – a total of 34 NTUC stores that run 24 hours a day will go the extra mile by leaving their operating hours unchanged during the CNY period.
All stores will revert to their regular operating hours from 11 February onwards.
On the eve of Chinese New Year (9 February), NTUC FairPrice outlets with the modified operating hours will be open until 5 pm.

Most Giant stores will operate 24 hours throughout the Chinese New Year period. By that, we don’t just mean the two days of Chinese New Year. It also includes the eve of Chinese New Year (9 February) and the eve of that (8 February).
Only the following nine stores will not be operating for 24 hours throughout the Chinese New Year period (10-11 February):
1. IMM Hypermarket (8 am to 11 pm)
2. Sembawang Hypermarket (8 am to 11 pm)
3. Suntec city Supermarket (9 am to 11 pm)
4. Yishun 418 Supermarket (7 am to 11 pm)
5. Kranji Supermarket (7 am to 11 pm)
6. Paya Lebar Square Supermarket (7 am to 10.30 pm)
7. NTU Express (8 am to 12 am)
8. Edgefield Plains 671 Express (7 am to 11 pm)
9. Pasir Ris 776 Express (7 am to 11 pm)
On top of that, the IMM hypermarket is open from 8 am to 2 am, and the Sembawang Hypermarket is open from 9 am to 12 am on 8 February.
For regular supermarkets, the Yishun 418 Supermarket and Edgefield Plains 671 Supermarket will also be open for 24 hours on 8 February.
The rest of the outlets follow their usual opening hours on 8-9 February.

Sheng Siong
On top of all Sheng Siong outlets opening till 4pm on the eve of Chinese New Year (9 February), 26 stores will remain open on the first and second day of CNY (10 February, 11 February) from 8am to 6pm. All the stores will return to their usual opening hours on 12 February.

For the supermarket celebrating its 39th anniversary, some Prime Supermarket outlets are mostly closed on the first and second day of CNY (10 and 11 February), while the rest are open for 24 hours.

For our beloved Japanese supermarket chain, only the outlet at Orchard Central is open 24 hours for both days while the rest opens an hour early on 8 February.
On 9 February, the outlets except Orchard Central will open and close an hour early.
