Seeing Carousell scalpers selling Taylor Swift Singapore concert is akin to seeing another influencer doing a home tour of their big house: it’s bound to happen, and even if we hate it, we’d still see it.
But people selling Taylor Swift Singapore concert queue numbers and access codes?
That’s a first.

People Are Selling Taylor Swift Queue Numbers & Access Codes on Carousell
Lest you didn’t already know, your colleague is on MC today because she needed to spend hours queuing up for Taylor Swift’s Singapore concert—virtually, of course.
She could do it in the office, but this takes serious concentration as you probably need to refresh countless time to get a queue number…and then, to wait for your turn so that you can buy your tickets.
The presale tickets for the concert for UOB cardholders started earlier today at 12pm, and the queue numbers went over seven-digit in ten minutes, with the tickets being sold out within three hours. Now, remember: this is only for UOB cardholders, so you can bet that UOB is laughing to the bank.
Oh wait, they are a bank.
During this period, guess what some enterprising people were doing?
Yes, they even sold queue numbers—notwithstanding the fact that a queue number doesn’t guarantee a purchase.
You’re essentially spending $25 for a chance to buy the tickets.
This has now become a market for enterprising individuals because people are also now selling access codes to buy the tickets on 7 July 2023.

You see, for the general crowd (i.e. people without a UOB card), they’d have to register their interest to buy the tickets from 25 June. With that, they’d get an access code that gives them a chance to buy the tickets this Friday (7 July) at 12pm.
As usual…this is being sold online, too:
This basically means you’re buying a chance to be on a queue…and when you’re in the queue, you’d have a chance to buy the tickets.
Just think of yourself spending money on a 2FA code that’s not guaranteed to work.
You really need to be swift to see Taylor Swift, I guess.
