Plastic chairs are definitely the top picks as weapons for aunties and uncles in Singapore, because it is featured in this fight as well.
According to the police, they were alerted to a fight along 15 Arumugam Road, Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple at around 6pm on Wednesday (10 Aug).
A 69-year-old man and two women, aged 65 and 71, were arrested.
What Happened?
A video of the conflict was posted on Beh Chia Lor – Singapore Road’s Facebook page.
The whole fight was a mess, honestly.
The video immediately cuts to the three people in the centre of the conflict—a man and woman in black and a short-haired woman in a red shirt—wielding and throwing the white plastic chairs at each other.
Three bystanders rush over to defuse the conflict, arms raised in an attempt to put distance between the two parties.
The two women come to physical blows first: the woman in black tugs violently on the red-shirted woman’s arm and hair, then pummels her back with her fist.
Meanwhile, the man in black charges over and punches the woman in the face three times.
It’s not one of those kiddie throws either; he can be seen winding back his arm before he swings it forward, hitting her so hard that she flinches backwards.
When the bystanders finally manage to separate the two parties, the woman’s face is streaked with trails of blood.
She also refuses to relent on the grip that she has on the other woman.
Although the voice-over in Mandarin claimed that the man and woman in black are husband and wife, as they are seen clinging to one another after the fight, the police have not made any statement about their relations.
The 71-year-old bloodied victim was taken to the hospital conscious.
Allegedly, she had to receive two stitches on her face.

The Cause of The Conflict
While the police have not officially declared the charges or the motivations that sparked the fight, there were a few claims made by the netizens/witnesses.
Reportedly, the short-haired woman had reserved a seat for her friend but the couple who arrived later threw away the cup of coffee and bun that she placed there before taking a seat.
The short-haired woman was also the person who called the police after the fight.
She claimed that she did nothing wrong.
On the other hand, a few netizens who purportedly knew the short-haired woman said that she regularly “choped” the seats even when she was not supposed to.
Regardless of who was in the right or the wrong, there are clearly an abundance of seats underneath the white tent… Was it really necessary to come to blows?
