DC fans rejoice, for The new Batman movie trailer is here.
However, things don’t seem right for the famous bat doesn’t seem like himself.
It’s almost as if he went dark.
The Batman’s New Trailer Just Dropped & It Gets Even Darker
From the sparkly vampire of Twilight to the bright kid in Hogwarts, we have Robert Pattinson playing Bruce Wayne AKA Batman in DC’s new movie, The Batman.
The latest trailer drop with a bang as it shows the dark universe of Gotham as the bat dances with the Riddler.
Right at the start, one could easily name who Batman will be fighting against this time as you spot the familiar question mark in the coffee cup.
Played by Paul Dano, Riddler, seemed to have a new riddle for Batman. However, Batman doesn’t seem like himself this time.
According to Pattinson, this version of Batman doesn’t seem to be able to control his personality. In the past, Batman was still able to differentiate from Bruce Wayne but it seems like the darkness of Gotham have finally gotten to him this time.
Pattinson also added that Batman has become sort of an “odd creature” for he isn’t sleeping. It seems like Batman is finding himself while being sleep-deprived. Does he work in Singapore or what?
Aside from Batman, Catwoman is also featured in the film. Played by Zoë Kravitz, Catwoman could be seen speaking to Batman, mentioning their possible similarities.
As expected, if you see the Riddler, the Penguin is not far behind. Portrayed by Colin Farrell, the Penguin could be seen battling it out with Batman in various scenes.
In one of the scenes, it seemed that the Penguin has succeeded in destroying Batman in an explosion however, at the last moment, Batman seemed to have emerged from the ball of the fire unscathed.
Looks like Batman’s suit is not only bulletproof this time, it’s fireproof as well.
Needless to say, there seems to be way too many characters in a single movie, no?
Dark Batman
With what seems like Batman’s sanity hanging by the thread the latest Batman trailer seemed to don the same theme as the previous Batman movies – one that requires you to bring your own torchlight.
Besides its low lightning effects and dark fashion sense in all of the characters, Batman seemed to be going dark as well. Either that or they had no budget for a lighting crew.
Supposed to be Out This Year
Initially, it was supposed to be in theatres on 25 June 2021.
However, like everything else in the world, production was pushed back and the movie was postponed to 4 March 2022 thanks to COVID-19.
