Trump Held a Large Rally After He’s Contracted COVID-19 & There Was Still a Big Crowd

You know that annoying brat in class who refused to listen to all the teachers because he hated being told what to do?

Well, unfortunately for USA, Donald Trump is that annoying brat, and he’s their president.

Trump has repeatedly ignored the warnings and advice of medical experts ever since the coronavirus emerged, introducing policies and holding events that only had one purpose: to help him get re-elected.

Trump’s presidential campaign hit a snag when the 74-year-old contracted Covid-19, but he has since recovered (or so he tells us).

Now, the president is back to doing what he does best.

Trump Holds Large Rally After He’s Contracted COVID-19 & There’s Still a Big Crowd

While most recovering Covid-19 patients would self-isolate and avoid others, Trump chose to hold a packed rally in Florida without any safe distancing measures.

“I feel so powerful,” he said to a crowd of thousands of supporters.

Most of them were not wearing masks, and there were pretty much doing the opposite of safe distancing, standing shoulder to shoulder.

For those who don’t know, the US election is just weeks away, and Trump is trailing his opponent, Joe Biden, in the polls.

He is also losing a lot of his supporters, especially senior ones, as his bungled handling of the outbreak has led to the death of over 220,000 Americans.

Desperate to hold on to his supporters, Trump has been itching to hold a rally ever since he was quarantined due to his Covid-19 diagnosis.

Last week, as he announced plans to hold rallies, Trump claimed that he was no longer contagious, even though he had no evidence to substantiate his claim.

On Monday (12 Oct), however, Trump’s doctor, Dr Sean Conley, said the president had tested negative on consecutive days.

So, his staff and supporters have nothing to worry about, right?

Well, not quite.

Problem 1 – Untrustworthy Doctor

Most doctors in the world can probably be trusted, because they’re the ones entrusted with the responsibility to keep us alive.

Dr Conley, however, is Trump’s doctor, which is why he dodged questions when he was asked whether Trump received supplemental oxygen.

The only problem is that Conley is a doctor and not a politician, which is why he was so bad at lying:

Reporter: He has not received any supplemental oxygen?

Dr Conley: He’s not on oxygen right now, that’s right.

Reporter: He’s not received any at all?

Dr Conley: He’s- he’s not needed any uh… this morning, today at all, that’s right.

Reporter: Can I pin you down on one thing? Has he ever been on supplemental oxygen?

Dr Conley: Right now, he is not on oxygen… Yesterday and today he was not on oxygen.

You almost feel sorry for him.

Dr Conley later confirmed that Trump had indeed required supplemental oxygen, proving that the public cannot trust the words that leave his mouth.

So, when he says that Trump has tested negative for the coronavirus, can we really believe him?

Problem 2 – May Not Be Immune

Now, even if Trump had managed to beat the virus and is now negative, that in no way makes him immune to Covid-19.

As you know, while recovering from an infection is likely to provide you with immunity for a while, there have been cases of people getting re-infected with the coronavirus.

And given Trump’s distaste for masks, social distancing, and rules, he’s the most likely candidate in the world to get re-infected.

Despite that, Trump tweeted on Sunday (11 Oct) that he was “immune” to Covid-19, a tweet that Twitter flagged for violating its rules against spreading coronavirus misinformation.

Moreover, he plans to hold several more crowded rallies across the country, with supporters who are likely to be just as irresponsible as he is.

Why is he like this? If only we knew.
