Who doesn’t like a staycation in a hotel?
Comfy pillows, white sheets and thick duvets come to our minds, right?
Well, not for these Chinese guests who booked a hotel in central China. These four friends stayed in the Mong Kok Hotel, in Hejiaying New Village on Tuesday evening.
One would assume they were looking forward to an evening of relaxation in bed but they were in for a rude awakening.
They found bloodstains on one of the pillows and sheet. According to City Express, a Hangzhou-based newspaper, one of the guests, nicknamed Xiao Li, didn’t think much of it.
Yes, blood stains on hotel bed sheets are totally normal…
So when one of the guest rested her head on the pillow, she felt a prick. When they opened the pillow case, to their horror, there was a cute little hedgehog.
Awwwwwww, who figured that this little ball of cutie could hurt anyone.
The guests told the hotel owner post-hasted but it somehow led to a heated argument. The police were called to the hotel, the next morning to settle the dispute.
The hotel told the newspaper that the rooms are cleaned every day and the previous guests did not report sighting a hedgehog.
Guess the hotel stood their ground against the complaint. However, the police did find the cute hedgehog hiding under the bed.
Poor thing must have been terrified.
As of now, no arrests have been made.
While it is common to find bedbugs in hotels, this could have been the first case of a hedgehog in one.
I don’t know about you but I am going to watch cute little hedgehog videos on YouTube.
