Villagers in Perak made a grim discovery while searching for a missing cow on 15 Jun 2025.
Instead of their missing livestock, they found a decomposing body hanging from a tree in a palm oil plantation.

The body was discovered hanging from a tree located just 10 metres away from the main road. Mohd Hasni Bin Mohd Nasir, the Police Chief of Muallim district, confirmed the discovery in an official statement.

Police received the report at 5:13pm on 15 Jun 2025. Officers were immediately deployed to the palm oil plantation in Felda Gunung Besout 2 in Sungkai, Perak.
Police Investigation
The deceased carried no identification documents. Police found a bra and a blue slipper inside a nearby ditch during their investigation.
A “thali” necklace was discovered around the deceased’s neck. This traditional necklace is typically worn by married Hindu women.
The body was transported to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun in Ipoh for autopsy. Police have classified the case as sudden death (SDR) pending completion of the autopsy report.

Police are actively seeking public assistance to identify the deceased. They have urged anyone with missing family members, friends, or relatives to come forward.
