When you’re in the spotlight after a very public scandal or spat, your every move, no matter how trivial, will be scrutinised by the media.
He just drank two bubble teas instead of his regular coffee! How could he do that after insulting that YouTuber?
She’s spending time with her friends and enjoying herself! How could she do such a thing after being caught canoodling with a mystery man in her car?
That’s why it’s best to lie low after such a scandal, so the media and netizens have nothing to write about.
But that’s not exactly what Wang Leehom did.
Wang Leehom is Now Back in Taiwan Serving Quarantine & is Playing Loud Music at Night
In his apology to his wife, Wang said he’s taking a break from work to spend more time to be with his parents and children.
To know more about the saga, watch this video to the end:
Wang is certainly following through on his promise, as he rushed back to Taiwan from China last Saturday (18 Dec).
As per the rules, he needs to quarantine before he can be let into the community. Naturally, he was tailed by reporters from the airport all the way to S Hotel, a four-star hotel in Taipei which is one of the designated facilities for quarantine.
The four-star hotel is reportedly owned by Barbie Hsu’s ex-husband, Wang Xiaofei, a Chinese businessman. A two-week quarantine stay at the hotel costs NT$84,000 (S$4,000).
So many reporters thronged the entrance and car park at S Hotel that other guests had to wait at least two hours to check-in. That would have been the end of the story were it not for Wang’s proclivity for writing music late at night.

An annoyed hotel guest who’s staying in a room below Wang’s complained that the singer-songwriter has been playing his violin and electronic keyboard after bedtime every night, and loudly too.
“Because I stay in the room below Leehom’s, every night after 11pm, I can hear him play the violin and electronic keyboard. Could he be composing a new song? The scumbag can’t beat [Jinglei] with his writing, so he sings [instead]? There’s no need for that, right?” he said in a post on social media.
Taking Responsibility
A day after hitting back at allegations from Lee Jinglei, his wife, over multiple infidelities, Wang issued an apology to Lee and promised to take responsiblity for not “managing” the marriage properly.
“Here, I solemnly apologize to my parents, Jinglei, and the children. Having divorced, arguing about the past is meaningless. From now on, I will pay attention to my words and deeds,” he said.
