Trainer: So, how would you discipline a disruptive child in your classroom? 

Teacher 1: I’d make them stand in the corner facing the wall?

Trainer: That’s a good suggestion. There’s nothing worse than boredom for a kid and it doesn’t require any scolding. Good. Next?

Teacher 2: Take away their toys for the day? 

Trainer: That works too. That’ll teach them to be-

Teacher 3: What about murdering them?

Trainer: What?

Teacher: What?

Trainer: …

Teacher: I mean, I’m not actually going to murder them, I’m not a sociopath, dude. I just want to make them believe I’m going to murder them to scare them.

Trainer: …

Teacher: Like, for instance, I could smother them with a-

Kindergarten teachers have a tough job. Being in a classroom full of noisy, ill-disciplined kids can get annoying. But there are ways to deal with kids who don’t listen, ways that shouldn’t involve endangering the child’s life.

Sin Chew Daily recently uploaded a video of an abusive teacher who got beat up by a raging father after she smothered his child with an apron.

The incident occurred in Qinghuamiao Kindergarten, which is located in Loudi in China’s central Hunan Province, on Wednesday (Nov 20).

The day started like any other, with the father, Mr Li, dropping his child off at the daycare centre.

He decided to stay back for a bit, however, to ensure that his child was okay and didn’t cry due to separation anxiety.

So he watched the teachers and his little girl through a nearby CCTV monitor.

And what he saw next shocked him.

Smothered with apron

At one point, all the kids in the class had to put on an apron. However, Mr Li’s daughter was reluctant to do so and pushed the apron away when the teacher tried to put it on for her.

In an attempt to scare her into wearing the apron, the teacher then took out a stick and waved it in front of Mr Li’s daughter.

But that didn’t work, so the teacher transformed into Ted Bundy and smothered the girl’s entire head with the apron. 

Attacked abusive teacher

The father, who saw the teacher’s horrific actions on CCTV, quickly stormed into the classroom and started attacking the teacher.

He first slapped her and later started kicking and punching her because he was so furious. I can’t condone his actions but I can certainly feel his rage towards this abusive teacher.

Mr Li later explained his actions:

“She refused to apologise. She didn’t care about losing her job. Her attitude, and the attitude of her family, was vile, and I cannot accept that. I accept the consequences of my own actions, but this child-abusing teacher must be arrested too”, he said.

Thankfully, the teacher, Ms Hu, has been dismissed from her position in the nursery and has been jailed for 12 days and fined 500RMB (S$97), according to World of Buzz.

It’s also possible that her teaching license will be terminated by the education bureau.

I certainly hope so.

Always keep an eye on your kids

Anxious parents are often derided for what many perceive as paranoia and overprotectiveness when it comes to their kids. But incidents like this justify their concerns. Not everyone is as careful with children as we are with our own.

Be vigilant, parents, because in this day and age, it seems like no one can be trusted around our children.
