It’s Going to Rain Almost Every Morning in the First Half of Sept 2022

The monsoon rain band is likely to be over equatorial Southeast Asia in the first half of September 2022.

This means that on most days, it is expected to rain with thunder and lightning in parts of Singapore between early morning and early afternoon.

Also, the development of low-pressure systems over the northern South China Sea could cause Sumatra squalls over the Strait of Malacca and bring widespread thundery showers and gusty winds to Singapore between the early and pre-dawn hours on some days.

When the winds in the area come together over Singapore and the surrounding area, it might rain moderately to heavily with thunder for one or two days.

During the next two weeks, the daily temperature is expected to vary between 24 and 33 degrees Celsius on most days. The daily low temperature may drop to roughly 22 degrees Celsius on some rainy days.

On a few days, the maximum daily temperature may reach 34 degrees Celsius.

Furthermore, on a few nights when prevailing winds from the southeast or south blow warm and humid air from the sea, warm and humid weather might be predicted.

Minimum nighttime temperatures may reach around 28 degrees Celsius, especially in the island’s south-east.

Jurong Was The Wettest & Coldest in August

If you live in Jurong, you probably didn’t need air-conditioner much in the last two weeks.

Last month, the daily minimum temperature was 24 degrees Celsius or lower on 20 days.

On 16 August,, Jurong reported 21.7 degrees Celsius as the lowest day minimum temperature for August.

The southern, eastern, and western coasts of the island had a few nights during the month where the daily minimum temperature exceeded 28 degrees Celsius.

August 2022 had rainfall that was above average in almost two-thirds of Singapore, with the majority of it falling in the country’s north and west.

Rainfall at Chai Chee was 21 percent below average while it was 115 percent over average at—you’ve guessed it—Jurong.
