Oh hey, look at the time on your phone right now.

Do you know what time it is? Definitely not the time to go out regardless.

Remember, just because it’s Phase One doesn’t mean we can anyhowly go shopping or visit our friend’s houses.

Want to go out and hang out with friends? Just wait till that potentially two-week early phase two.

Unfortunately, not everyone got the memo.

Woman Fined For Sexual Services

According to CNA, China national Cheng Fengzhao, 38, was fined S$7,000 on 3 June for letting a man into her condominium unit during Circuit Breaker.

And no, it wasn’t for some family dinner. This one is a lot more…hands-on.

Think massage and happy endings.

Cheng is supposedly on a work permit and came to Singapore to work as a waitress.

However, that whole waitress gig never actually happened. Instead, she paid a monthly fee to unknown individuals to help advertise her sex services on different websites.

She also paid $100 every ten days to an ‘unknown person’ for the daily usage of her apartment.

Getting Caught

Around 3 pm on 5 May, police officers raided a condo at Jalan Kemaman for vice-related offences.

They noticed a 51-year-old man, who was not identified in court documents, walking into the condo and entering Cheng’s unit.

They waited outside the unit for fifty minutes and identified themselves when the man left the unit.

The 51-year-old man was apparently a regular customer of Cheng and paid $100 for her services.

The police entered the unit and found a second sex worker alongside Cheng.

Charges

Deputy Public Prosecutor Lee Ti-Ting asked for a fine of at least S$7,000, which is actually a lot better than what she could’ve gotten.

Cheng could have been jailed for up to six months, fined up to S$10,000, or both for breaking regulations.

Cheng claimed that she did want to work as a waitress but couldn’t get the role when she arrived in Singapore.

However, it was mentioned that Cheng had also admitted to ‘not turning up for work since day 1’.

It is currently unknown if the 51-year-old patron will receive any charges.
