My Word Against Yours: Man Refuses to Cancel Grab Ride Even After Allegedly Waiting for 20 Minutes

I‘m still waiting for something to surprise me nowadays.

Instead, it’s just lots of articles about people doing stupid/entitled things to each other and the occasional lousy drivers.

Looks like today wouldn’t be any different either.

A Facebook user going by the name of Rifhan posted on his page about how he had cancelled a Grab booking and refused to cancel the ride on his end to avoid paying the penalty fee.

According to the now removed post, Rifhan said that he had waited for 20 minutes for the driver to arrive even though he was told that it would take only 5 minutes.

In the screenshot, it’s revealed that the driver had told Rifhan that he will be arriving in 2 minutes, whereas Rifhan said that he had been waiting for 20 minutes.

And as always, the opinions online are pretty divided with regard to the issue. There are those people who look at the bigger picture:

Those who have issues with Rifhan’s actions:

Those who are giving suggestions and those who are just…insulting him.

Well, that about covers all the different types of people in the comments section.

Well, I do agree that Rifhan’s actions weren’t very nice. Kind of a dick move on his part. After all, the driver is just trying to make a living. However, that’s not to say that the driver is in the clear either.

The driver’s attitude is unprofessional, calling his customer an “Asshole” and saying that the customer is wasting his “f**king time”.

No matter what, I think the driver might get in trouble due to the things he’s said.

It takes two hands to clap. If the driver would’ve remained professional in his dealing with Rifhan, I’m sure most of the arrows from the comments section would be targeting Rifhan instead and vice versa.

No matter what, please be nice to each other. Do remember that we’re all people trying to live our everyday lives.

Since you’re here, why not watch a video about an NTU student who went all out to impress his crush, only to end up in…tragedy? Here, watch it and do remember to share it (and also subscribe to Goody Feed YouTube channel)!
