If you’ve been hardcore fangirling (or fanboying) over Yanxi Palace, the Chinese television drama that has been taking China (and a subpart of the world) by storm, you might be glad to know that…

Two very prominent and likeable characters (or the actors behind them) are actually coming to Singapore!

Indeed, November’s all set to be a star-studded month, as the actor and actress in question…

Homegrown talent Lawrence Wong, who received lots of love for his portrayal as imperial palace guard Hai Lan Cha:

And Chinese actress Qin Lan, who plays the role of the gorgeous Empress Fucha:

Deets

The breakout stars of the Chinese period drama will be visiting Singapore on Saturday (22 Dec) as part of the main event, following a series of meet & greets scheduled in the months of November and December.

But if you came here looking for exact details like how to procure tickets, how to get front row seats or how to get Lawrence Wong to be your boyfriend, I’m afraid I’ll have to bitterly disappoint you here, for…

Details are still pretty vague so far.

For one, the location of the event is not confirmed yet, but this is more of a time-related issue as more information will be released closer to the date.

However, according to MustShareNewstickets will not be sold for the event.

But hey rest assured; lucky fans can still get to meet the stars, either through contests and other activities.

Though; we have no idea what they will have lined up for us, but I guess we can always let our imagination run wild? 😉

The Power Duo

Apart from boasting exceptionally flawless looks, the duo’s actually linked in a really interesting way:

Apparently, Qin Lan was the one who gave Wong his big break, by recruiting him to her talent agency.

And Wong has constantly expressed his gratitude to her, whether it’s spoken words, or perhaps even cute Tik Tok-inspired videos like this:

you can count on me @qinlan__717. 💁🏻‍♂️ (🔊sound on.)

But if you find yourself secretly shipping the two of them, I’m afraid you might have to jump ship soon or risk the wrath of Titanic V2.0. This is because Qin Lan has previously spoken out in an interview, denying that they were dating and that Wong wasn’t his cup of tea.

But hey, no matter what it is, we’re glad that the actor, who was perhaps best known for his role as Xiao Bao in the local drama 118, got his big break and in the process became another reason for Singaporeans to cheer for.

So what are you waiting for?

Mark down these two months in your calendars, people, because I really doubt there would be another opportunity like this in the near future.

Don’t say bo jio ah. 😉
