Another Plot twist: NUS Gold Digger’s Confession isn’t by NUS Gold Digger

Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you’ll have known about the confession by an NUS gold digger who declared that she’s a gold digger.

But of course, we all know that people aren’t that stupid online, so here’s the plot twist: the gold digger’s confession isn’t written by the gold digger.

Confused so far? Fret not, here’s a brief context: NUS gold digger confessed on NUSWhispers Facebook Page that she’s torn between current poor boyfriend and a rich guy who’s wooing her. The Internet responded, rich guy responded and poor boyfriend responded, and everyone thought it was the 大结局.

Then, of course, there’s a group of people who thinks that it’s just another viral marketing campaign, because it’s the Internet, yo.

In a plot twist that will make even M. Night Shyamalan proud, a new confession was published. It turned out that it was the gold digger’s best friend ex-friend who wrote the confession. In other words, the gold digger was a mere speculator who has received some form of collateral damage.

Here’s the confession lest you can’t read it.

Hi. I was the one who made the post about Guy A and Guy B. But no, I am not the girl dating them. I am her best friend. I am asking her for forgiveness..I deliberately portray her as a materialistic and selfish girlfriend based on the stories she told me. This is what actually happened:

I disliked that she cannot make up her mind between guy A and guy B..She always tell me how fantastic Guy A is but couldn’t bear to hurt Guy B as she also, truly love him. She is definitely not a gold digger. I believe she loves both of them dearly. The reason why she has been contemplating to date guy A is because she worried his social status could come in the way. However, I disliked how she compared it with guy b, (BTO..etc) but I kinda get why she made those comments. I mean… to be honest.. who wouldn’t wish to have a rich Boyfriend? I admit I was jealous. I took it out to confession page, wanting to ruin her love life. But not only did my plan failed, guy B grew closer with her and now our friendship is over. I was shocked that she knew I was behind this. She told me she knew because I was the only one she tell her relationship problems to…. I didn’t know I was such a special friend to her. I always thought she was humble bragging..I guess I am wrong.. If I could turn back time, I would never post that confession. I don’t know how else to make it up to her but I hope to clear her name. My best friend blocked me on social media but I hope she can read this. Once again, I am terribly sorry..

This 自篇，自导，自演 saga, I believe, hasn’t ended—we all want to know why this best friend suddenly has a change of heart on this friendship (I mean, you started out breaking this friendship and now want this friendship back? You mad, Bro Sis?).

And of course, we all want to know how Guy A managed to buy a BMW with his own money while studying full-time.
