Found at the edge of Singapore, you might have cycled past this location while exploring the Punggol Coast. Located at the Punggol East Container Park, it is just a stone’s throw away from Lorong Harus bridge. Enjoy Western dishes and all-day breakfast priced at $15-30 in an alfresco dining setting and pair it with one of the cafe’s delectable cocktails.
With warm lighting all around and an outdoor breeze, you can’t go wrong with this romantic location. If you can’t bear to leave bae right after dinner, head for a stroll along the coast to enjoy the night view. Or head to the nearby Uncle Ringo’s carnival for some post-dinner fun.
Bee’s Knees
Location: 50 Cluny Park Road, Level 1, The Garage
Looking to try something different this Valentine’s Day? Try the Bee’s Knees Valentine’s Day Picnic dinner priced at $100 nett for two pax.
Located at The Garage in Botanic Gardens, Bee’s Knees is a six-minute walk from Botanic Gardens MRT station. They’re known for their picnic baskets lunch and dinner sets with mains spanning pizzas, aglio olio, and salads.
Basically, all you have to do is pick up your picnic basket from the restaurant between 5.30 to 6pm, find a spot in Botanic Gardens, set up your picnic mat and dine while watching sunset. Then, return the basket whenever you’re done. So if bae is an outdoor lover, this is the perfect spot for you!
Koh Grill and Sushi Bar

Located on the fourth floor of Wisma Atria Shopping Centre, this Japanese restaurant serves some mouth-watering combinations of sushi that is still wallet-friendly.
Perfect for Japanese food lovers, a must-try at this place is the Shiok Maki that comprises unagi (eel) and aburi salmon. Known to leave many coming back for more, it is no wonder that this place is always bustling and walk-ins are rare.
So if you want to take bae to try some unforgettable Japanese food, book your seat asap! Book early and you might even get one that looks over Orchard Road below.
Senshi Sushi and Grill

Another Japanese food location, head here if your bae is both into Japanese food and seafood. Contemporary Japanese buffet restaurant Senshi Sushi & Grill is rolling out an eight-course omakase menu for the first time on 14 February 2022.
The extensive menu is affordably priced at $68++ per person (yes, a little bit over the budget, but we had to include it). Some of the highlights include Hoyogo oyster paired with ikura and yuzu jelly, Chilean sea bass grilled over binchōtan, and a simmered dish of foie gras with braised dashi daikon. Do book fast, as this one-day-only menu only has 20 seats available!
Super Loco Robertson Quay
Location: The Quayside, 60 Robertson Quay #01-13, S(238252)
Keeping below $100 for two is no easy feat, especially while trying to find a “not-too-casual” place. Lucky for you, Super Loco has just the right vibes while being affordable. Don’t overthink your dress code for this one and just enjoy the fun and festive Mexican vibes.
Grab a table outdoors facing the Singapore River to begin your night. Enjoy casual conversations with your partner as you tuck into tacos (from $9), quesadillas (from $16), mains (under $40) along with their signature margaritas!

Burger & Lobster

Trying to channel some travel vibes? Head to Jewel Changi Airport’s top floor for some amazing seafood. On offer from 11 to 14 February 2022 is the Valentines’ Day Sharing Menu, which includes a mix of appetisers, one main course each, and a sweet treat for the perfect ending. Available at Jewel is the Saffron Aioli Lobster Roll, which comes with caviar, fresh chunks of steamed lobster, and a fragrant saffron dressing.
If you want to head to town instead, head to the Raffles Hotel outlet to enjoy the exclusive Grilled Half Lobster with Bloody Mary Linguine, or The Decadent Burger: an indulgent number comprising grilled beef patty, pan-seared foie gras, and half a lobster. The catch? The food is as pricey as it sounds.
Tanuki Raw

If the previous place was not up your alley, simply head next door to Tanuki Raw known for its tantalising oysters. Priced at $20++, you will find many Japanese seafood options here which you can pair with one of their cocktails. Take a seat overlooking the waterfall and enjoy the night view with bae at this romantic location!
PS. Cafe
With multiple locations around Singapore, you are sure to find one that is convenient for both you and bae, but we highly recommend the outlet at Dempsey Hill. With sides starting from $15 and mains from $30, it provides an affordable dinner date that does not compromise the vibes at all!
Walking on Sunshine
Location: 391B Orchard Road, #05-05A, Ngee Ann City
Surround yourselves with dense flora and fauna while dining at this trendy mixed concept Korean hair salon/cafe called You Are My Sunshine at the fifth floor of Ngee Ann City. Mains are priced ~$30 and drinks ~$7, totally worth it for the environment that you get to enjoy.
Looking to gift bae with some haircare? Simply spend an additional $65 and book your date a hair wash and blow at You Are My Sunshine’s hair salon.
Arbora
Location: 109 Mount Faber Rd, Faber Peak, Singapore 099203
Enjoy the natural ambience at this restaurant as you indulge in some #foodporn worthy food. Snap some couple #OOTDs at this location with the scenery that is sure to bless your friend’s Instagram feeds. Though a bit pricier than other restaurants, this view and environment are surely ones to pay for.
