Accessibility and Affordability of Gym Facilities Around Singapore
The rise in gym members could be attributed towards the affordability and accessibility of gym facilities in Singapore.
For ActiveSG gyms, the pricing is quite economical, with sessions costing $2.50 for a Singaporean/PR adults and $1.50 for a Singaporean/PR student or senior citizen.
This is an affordable option for most people and provides a space for individuals to workout at gyms without committing to private gym memberships which tends to be on the pricier side, with commitments of at least one year.
Furthermore, the launch of new gyms such as the ActiveSG gym in Bukit Canberra could increase the diversity of gym members.
This venue boasts HUR machines which operates on air pressure rather than traditional weights. This enhances the safety for all users, including individuals with physical disabilities and the elderly.
The new gym is even equipped with dance studios and a variety of budget-friendly programmes to try out too.
